Summer Camp

Summer Camp is an opportunity for each child to relax in the sun, have a great time, and gain knowledge through hands-on experiences. Peer interaction allows children to be part of a team while they learn and grow together. Since the classroom is a multi-age group, each child learns to support and understand others, building skills such as empathy, cooperation, and helping. Field trips are an integral part of the program and are planned around the interests of the children. This time is spent relaxing, having fun, and exploring the Lansing area.

Our 12-week program includes:

  • Nature and ecology exploration
  • Cooking
  • Arts and crafts
  • Swimming, biking, and rollerblading
  • Frequent field trips and picnic lunches
  • Library visits … and more!

EC3’s accredited program offers

  • Highly-trained child development staff
  • An air-conditioned facility, large gym, and on-site playground

Quiet Times

Quiet times provide children with the opportunity to work constructively on projects without interruptions. Time is spent reflecting upon thoughts through journal entries, reading books, and creating art projects.

Achieving Higher Levels of Independence

The teachers are continually developing the children's independence through encouraging the development of life skills and offering choices, which promote subjective thinking.
